RSAT · Selenium · Azure DevOps
Your regression suite, running itself.
We turn your Dynamics 365 F&O test cases into an automated regression suite built on Microsoft RSAT, Selenium and Azure DevOps — re-run in minutes at every update cycle, without adding headcount.
Scope
What we automate
D365 Finance & Operations
Every task-recorder-enabled function across your modules — sales, procurement, warehouse, finance.
Cloud POS & Warehouse Mobile App
The retail and warehouse surfaces most regression plans quietly skip.
Cross-system flows
End-to-end scenarios across systems — e.g. an order placed in your web store that triggers D365 master-data creation — with results synchronized to Azure Pipelines. Proven in a live proof of concept for a Hong Kong F&B group.
Delivery model
Five steps from test cases to one-click runs
Identify
Experienced D365 consultants work with your team to map business scenarios and select the cases worth automating.
Script
Steps recorded with Microsoft Task Recorder, executed by RSAT.
Parameterize
Chained test cases, variable inputs, expected-value validation.
Run
Every iteration captured in Azure DevOps with full error logs — detail identical to what a user sees in D365.
Handover
Your team runs the suite with zero programming — most cases are a single click.
Tooling
The right tool for every surface
| Layer | Tool | When we use it |
|---|---|---|
| D365 F&O web UI | Task Recorder + RSAT | Any task-recorder-enabled function — the fast, Microsoft-native path. |
| Other web systems | Selenium | Web stores, portals and third-party web apps in end-to-end flows. |
| Legacy desktop | C# scripts | Workarounds for Windows-based legacy applications. |
| Orchestration | Azure DevOps Test Plans + Pipelines | Test management, CI/CD triggers, traceability between cases, requirements and defects, dashboards. |
Why automate
The automation package vs. human testers
Higher quality
Automation
- Identical steps, inputs and results every run
Manual
- Missing steps, wrong steps, wrong input
Higher coverage
Automation
- F&O, Cloud POS and WMS covered
- Minimal training to test any scenario
Manual
- Testers need training per module, standard, procedure
Lower cost
Automation
- Once built, re-run unlimited times
Manual
- Staff arranged for every retest — most companies can only afford partial retests
Faster cycles
Automation
- A test case finishes in minutes, with a result sheet
Manual
- Hours of clicking and documentation per case

FAQ
Questions we hear most
Can all of our D365 processes be automated?
All task-recorder-enabled functions are compatible with RSAT. For processes that aren’t, we cover them with Selenium and C# programs.
What about the other systems we use?
Selenium covers all web-based tools and systems; for legacy Windows-based applications we develop C# script workarounds.
How much will we actually save?
It depends on how many updates and full retests you run per year. Following Microsoft’s guidance of 2–3 updates a year, we’ve seen around 30% total man-day saving in the first year (build cost + automated run cost vs. human retest cost), and 80–90% in subsequent years.
Will this disrupt our live system?
No. Test cases are 100% developed on your UAT/DEV environments. Our team are experienced D365 functional and technical consultants, so we don’t need walkthroughs — minimal resources are needed from your side.
Does our team need programming knowledge?
Zero. Most cases are triggered with a single click. For complicated cases we provide simple preparation instructions — e.g. placing Excel upload files in predefined paths, or running procurement tests before sales tests.
What support do we get afterwards?
We treat this as the beginning of fully automated testing for your company. The initial implementation team stays for ongoing support — the work is never handed to another team.
What if something goes wrong mid-project?
The automation runs separately from your operations, so your normal business is never at risk. We keep 2–3 long-term part-time senior programmers as emergency resources beyond the committed full-time team.
